Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay presents a line-up of five new and inventive theatrical works that explore the notion of truth in the upcoming season of The Studios. Running from 5 July to 15 September 2012, the season will bear the curatorial theme eXchanges – Your truth and mine, multiplied. Esplanade commemorates its 10th year of bringing the arts to the community in 2012 with the theme Celebrating Life – The best of the Human Spirit through the Arts and celebrates key values through 17 Esplanade Presents festivals and series during the year. As a series that presents contemporary and experimental theatre, works in The Studios often uncover new ways of seeing and resonate with our universal search for truth.

Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay puts the spotlight on popular youth culture as Yfest returns from 22 - 24 June 2012. For three days, the centre will come alive with young artists from Singapore and the region, bringing with them an exciting mix of free programmes for everyone. This year, the festival which centres around popular urban youth culture, will feature a creative space for artistic expressions and collaborations across different forms of music, dance, visual arts and lifestyle activities. The festival provides a space for friendly competition, teamwork and the development of talents for youth in Asia.

Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay celebrates the best of Asian alternative music at the 11th edition of Baybeats with over 50 free performances by 35 acts from 29 June to 1 July 2012. Taking place just a week after Yfest 2012 - a festival celebrating popular youth culture - Baybeats aims to help the local music scene grow and galvanise the community in one weekend of fun, fresh and free-for-all great alternative Asian music.
